How We Build Concrete Patios
Every patio starts with a solid base. We clear the grass, grade the soil, bring in and compact select fill, and build wood forms to the exact shape you want. Square, L-shaped or curved, we lay it out with you before any concrete shows up.
Inside the forms we set a grid of steel rebar on chairs so it sits in the middle of the slab where it does the most good. Then we pour, screed, float and broom-finish the surface and cut control joints so the slab cracks where we want it to, not across the middle.
We slope every patio slightly away from your house so rainwater runs off instead of pooling against the foundation. When the forms come off we clean up the site and backfill the edges so the yard looks finished.
